| I got a few misfires again yesterday and this morning and at this point I don't think its a grounding problem or spark plugs as I have changed those 3 times with the proper gap.
I read up on a few things and it looks like it may be just dirty/clogged injectors. The reason I think this is because the car isn't driving the way it did after I got it tuned last fall, it pops at idle and its a little rough if I let all the way off and get back on it again, (no I am not paranoid) some people said that was normal but at this point, no its not normal. I know how the car ran before and it doesn't run like that anymore.
I am currently running injector cleaner through the gas tank and we'll see how that goes but I want to make sure they're clean.
Question: Has anyone cleaned injectors by hand that could walk me through the process so I don't damage it and fuck my engine in the process? | |

| Don't waste your time trying to do it yourself. Send them to witchunter and get them cleaned flowed and tested. That way you know for a fact they are fine. It isn't terribly expensive. They have done 2 sets for me now and the turnaround is insanely fast. | |

| the stuff u buy at a gas station isnt strong enough. u shouldnt have to take them out. at the shop they pressurize the fuel system with air and run a strong solvent through them. costs about $60 and u dont even need to take them out. usually works pretty good. | |

| If you were closer I could do a injector flush at work. Are the 04 sti's a returnless system or not? I know on a lot of returnless fuel systems on subaru's number 4 likes to misfire because of the shitty quality fuel we have now a days. It clogs up number 4 injector and you have to replace that injector and clean out the fuel rail. | |
