New 5.0 Make's 543 rwhp on 6 PSI

Stock 2011 GT Make's 543 rwhp with 6 psi with a turbo kit, they have since turned it up to 10 psi and made 600 rwhp. They also put the same kit on a 2010 Camaro with a auto and it made 530 rwhp, so I am sure with a stick it would make at least as much power as the 5.0

Well ford racing did WOT testing for there supercharger kit on this motor and at 8 psi and didnt show any signs of damage, I talked to a powertrain engineer at the Chicago auto show about it and he said he was amazed that it held up.

I have not heard about a 7.0L, but have seen the new Boss 302(5.0L) It has forged pistons and rods and a better oiling system for high rpm road racing, I heard it make's about 440 hp.

Is the new 5.0 related to the 6.2 that's in the Raptor?

6.2 is whats replacing the 5.4 in all the ford trucks. That motor is a 2 valve, not sure if the one in the raptor is different

the 5.0 isnt related to the 6.2. and fords plan is to get rid of the 5.4 and 4.6 and replace them with the 5.0 and 6.2 and variants of them. they are also trying to offer, a ecoboost v6 in place of a v8, or a ecoboost 4 in place of a v6. pretty solid plan if u ask me.

and hopefully, if it holds true, the 2013 GT500 will have a twin turbo direct injected version of the 5.0.
