ummm....

Not by any means an expert, but is that actually a GN, or just a t-type?

Looks like maroon interior.....

The seller seriously couldn't have taken a shittier pic to put on the ad.... it might just be the light AFIK... but a GN for 3K sounds fishy to me.

If you want a GN, look for an '87.

Believe it or not, Blackout actually made a point.

'84 GN's would've had the same seats as mine, or the leather Lear Seigler seats. Nothing was burgundy on the interior of a GN. However, you could get a T-Type in various colors.

The other thing is its an '84, which means its a hot air car. Performance upgrades are pretty limited with these cars, and in reality the fastest you will make it would compare to a stock intercooled (86 or 87) GN. Unless you did a swap on it, which I've seen many people do.

Its your money, Vic. But if you do decide you want to pursue it, I'd be happy to go look at it with you Cool

Ill bet its a rust bucket too. I wouldn't bother with a hot air car (non intercooled for the non GN folks).

Run far & fast.

"Needs bumper to bumper restoration" = body rusted all to Hell, T-tops have leaked thus rusting floor pans too, bumper fillers dry rotted, etc.

As other have stated, it's a hot-air car. Even with thousands of dollars in mods, it would be a mid-high 13's car at best. You'd have $10,000+ sunk into a complete pile of shit.

I'd be looking into this car if I were you.... http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/1899259797.html

Wow, nice rice for 7,800 if it is everything he says. Doyle, if you are looking.. don't discount the non GN turbo regals if you want a serious sleeper.

Lee Thompson, Kenne Bell and quite a few others have went faster than 13's without an intercooler. I've personally have had hotair's that have went 12's without much drama. Depends on what you want to do with the car. Hot airs aren't bad. Smile I'm in Fort almost every day if you want me to take a look at it for you.

I wouldn't go near a hot air GN but that's just me.
