| If you had 20K and the skills to scratch build a car what would it be and what form of racing would it follow?
I would either build a fox mustang coupe or a cheapo FFR cobra and it would be a road racer. |

| 20k and unlimited free time? Man that is a tough scenario to imagine LOL. As I get older, I hav gotten to the point where there is no attraction to scratch building a car. Hell just doing a motor swap usually takes forever due to time constraints.
Regardless, whatever I built would be streetable enough to drive everyday if I wanted to.

Would that be the AWD or FWD version AWD tempo? never heard of such a thing. But i would do the fwd version to keep cost down. More money for turbos that way.

| Does the 20k have to include the price of the car? or you start with a car and spend 20k on it? | |

| Buy a mid-80s Chevy G-Body car, GMPP Crate engine (warranty ) , put a sturdy 700r4 behind it, 3.73 posi carrier, and drive it on the street and at the track. Then put the money I have left over in savings. |

if you include the price of the car it cant be done for 20k lol. but i would probably keep my car and get a cosworth motor, biggest stock location turbo, and ppg gears. then use it for track/street fun

| I would buy the Celica all trac for 4k from a guy I know that's selling one and put a 1jz swap with a ridiculous turbo kit in that bitch and beef up that diff's and dominate in any and all categories of racing. I would probably still have enough left over for a sweet paint job too. | |

| Well since it hasn't been answered yet, I'll just assume it is without having to pay for the car.
I can think of a lot of ways to spend it on my VR-4.
DR750 Turbos - $3200 Dual Core FMIC - $600 750 cc Injectors - $600 Fuel Rails, pump and w/e is included (someone makes a kit on 3si) $1000 ish AEM EMS standalone 1700 + tuning session Catless downpipe + cbe $1200 engine maintenance and some other car restoration - $2000 in OEM parts maybe? boost and wideband gauges $200 each Poly motor mounts - $500 Coilovers - $1600 Front and rear strut braces - $500
I could find more to spend on the car if I had that left over, but with these Items I could most likely buy a decent VR-4 with the leftover.
Total is 13300 in stuff.
and I would road coarse it.

| Or I'd just do this. full monocraft GT-300 widebody, built 2ZZ engine with a GT40 pushing 2.2 BAR of boost. Nothing like 650HP in a carbon/Kevlar 2000lb. chassis. Thats what I like to call a track-eater | |

| I'd try to locate an escort RS shell, and build up a motor on the cheap, weld in as strong of a home built cage as I can, and ralleycross it to death. | |

| That's an easy one. This: http://www.factoryfive.com/rdsterhome.html Built to handle the Power Tour, road courses and the drag strip all while topless. The car that is, no homo. P.S It would be LS6 powered too. That should ruffle a few feathers. To me it's a no brainer though.
