91 Octane. Ahhh Shit!

Iowa has no 93, it's all 91. I'll be amazed if I get back to Madison without exploding.

Yeah it's like the one positive to living in Wisconsin...we're one of the few states that still has 93 octane.

and 93 WITHOUT ethanol.. had to add that... the Citgo on the wash has 93 no ETHANOL ADDED!!!

Not for long. More and more stations are going to 91, some w/o ethanol like Kwik Trips.

I've noticed that unfortunately...there are only 2 gas stations left in Waupun that have 93...all the others switched to 91.

That's one more than Mt. Horeb, I can only get 93 at the Mobil. The Co-oP and KT are 91, but KT's 91 is ethanol free and marketed as 'recreational gasoline'.

Mobil is the only place that still offers 93 at all their stations. BP is dropping it.

Citgo has 93... no ethanol.

I managed to find a station with 92 so I got 10 gallons and added enough STP "RACERS EDGE" octane boost to treat 15 gallons so I'm probably around 92.6 which will get the job done.

So I got 92 at quick trip in a state that only has 91, yet in WI where you can get 93, quick trip only sells 91. Whatever.

haha yeah it is. I almost had an issue when I read that while I was sitting in a meeting this morning.

Also, there was an old white chick in that meeting this morning that looked a lot like Bryan. I know it makes no sense but it's true.

last time I went through Iowa (about 6 weeks ago) I remembered noticing that every single station I stopped at had 93, which pissed me off because when I went there in any of my cars that required 93, I could never find it. there's a Road Ranger in Dubuque that I remember having it a year ago, and a huge BP/Arbys/Godfathers in Parkersburg as well.

It is no longer legal in Wisconsin to sell 93 octane fuel without ethanol as of July 1st. So if you are getting 93 it most lilkey has ethanol in it and they havent added the sticker yet. Time to switch to E85!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used 93 w/ethanol in my car and haven't had any issues performance wise. Turbo Tweak will be burning my new chip to handle lower octane fuel w/boost (91) and 93 w/ethanol

ive always ran kwik trips 91 NO ethonol. with lots of high comp. engines, not a problem yet..

I don't think 2 octane counts is going to make or break a car. There's a knock sensor for a reason.

Agreed. a couple points shouldn't be a factor.

I agree, but I already have more knock retard than I'd like when running 93 so I'd rather not take chances.
