2010 ITR build thread!! UPDATE 2.25.11

Well I haven' updated this in a while.. and for good reason. I haven't done much to it. Got my engine about done.. Just gotta put the cam gears, timing belt, crank, ect back on..

New parts.. All In Fab Tucked radiator.. These sit below the core support, completely hidden.. Since I'm completely shaving the bay, I figured I'd have to do the rad also.

Everytime i get on here i look at that hatch on the first page, i love that thing....

It needs a lot of work..from hail damage, to the door moldings needing reshaved ect.. but htats not getting done.. He is redoing the bay and basically working on the engine..maybe putting a cage in, but thats it.. I've tried to talk him in to taking care of the exterior of the car but he won't.

And this makes me sad because I too fucking love that hatch. I have seriously never seen a better looking ek hatch in my life. Anyway when are you expecting the ITR to be done?

Itr will.be done.before spring.. davids ek i have no idea..

I agree.. but I really wish he would do the exterior work.. It would make the car 100%.. but I, like everyone else will love what's going on under the hood..

Me personally, thats not my thing.. later down the road perhaps *cough* next year *cough*, but I would rather have my car mint first and get the hail, and moldings redone before I do any engine work other than what is needed. But like I said, his WILL be a fun car once he finishes.

David and I are pretty much the opposite when it comes to our cars, other than the love for them. it does make us semi-clash at times but thats whats fun about it.. and in the end it will be two badass cars, BOTH for different reasons.

yeah he does beat the everloving christ out of the EK, but it's awesome to see a car that is 100% purpose built and totally used to its full potential. I'd be happy to get my FA5 to handle half as well as his car, and look half as good as yours lol.

Well thanks to Kevin I'm back in business.. Alright as promised here is the bay welding.. All completed.

That's going to look really clean, I can't believe how much you've gotten done this winter. I can't even get around to taking the engine out of the supra.

haha and the interior is about completely gutted also.. I got a lot to do, interior still needs to get the upholstery completed then I can at least start putting it back together.. Sanding grinding and smoothing is next.. after that.. Off to pain!!

Got another full day working on the car. Got basically all the grinding done, and down to where I can start with the metal glaze. I'm hoping to start that early this week. I do have a few places I have to add some weld to, but other than that it's good.
