| So before everyone gets their panties in a bunch. I'll lay some things down quick 1st. I sold the VR4, in order to get my black car back, as much of a piece of shit it was, it was my baby, and I wanted it back to build the FUUU out of it. The day I wen't to go get my black car, I get a text saying that it had been sold to someone else...after some "kind" words were exchanged, and some deep thought, a few days later I picked up this turd....It's stock, Front Wheel Drive, slow, and clean.... I got a steal on it....only paid $2000 flat for it....easily worth 4K, but at the time it needed basic maintenance and some TLC. My buddy Matt had it out in Chicago, and I had been eyeing it for awhile, but never pulled the trigger...finally the time was right and I needed a car, he gave me a great deal on it as he was asking 4,000 OBO. I loved it, the first few minuets i test drove it.... Now originally I wanted to keep it stock and slow with some basic bolt ons; then I decided, nah lets do a n/a build, then I wanted to just do a stock TT conversion; Then I watched too many Texas2K-xx videos, and said fuck it. lets go all out. Now lets get one thing straight, this won't happen over night. this may be a few years in before i reach my goals....so I am doing the build in stages. First obviously is just maintenance and some necessities, then "basic" forced induction conversion, which this year will only be about 400whp...maybe more...depending how the motor handles it. followed by some cosmetics, Then a AWD conversion, and finally new motor, and much much bigger turbos... Technically 1 owner, my friend bought it because it didn't run (bad ECU) and was just looking to flip it. 135K miles, 5 Speed, Charcoal leather interior, and Cold A/C which that day it was creeping 100 Degrees, and I had been riding in a silly purplewheeld mazda speed 3 with no a/c for like 2 hours lol. it was a damn good find for the price. first mods, Hide the ugly wheels. Mandatory 120K tune up, New Plugs, oil change, Water Pump, Gates Racing Kevlar Timing belt, Ninja Performance Solid Racing Tensioner, etc. now it was pretty slow, even tho I'm turboing, it definitely needed a hand power wise... Gut the factory N/A Intake Plenum, and bumped up the ignition timing. Felt much more solid after that. made a custom axle back, stock muffler catless sounds AWFUL on the n/a's. so Cheap ebay muffler fixed that... with its sweet JDM angled look lol. it sounds better, now its just too damn loud lol. It won't stay. Now, I started notice a intense smell of gas while driving...I ended up finding the issue. Easy Fix Bought a used fuel hat off ebay, then modified it, and added a 255lph fuel pump.... Needless to say, that fuel pump is only going to be good for about 500whp.... Better All the way to the rails Still too damn slow. | |

| Next: New wheels were desperately needed. got these off a local 3/S member in Millwaukee for $100 going from a 16X7 with 215/55 all season, to a 17x8.5 with some nice sticky 255/40 Dunlop Direzza Z2's (ones in picture are 225's I know) These tires are great, even in the rain, the car hooks, even used them a little in the snow by accident, they weren't terrible. Oh, and this showed up.... last car show of the year...she looked pretty clean considering when it got there it was covered in dirt and dust and dirty rain water. picked up a parts car with a friend, Ripped its guts out for my own personal gain. More AN lines n shit Turbos came in....(Comparison of new turbos TD05H-E316G, compared to stock TD04-9B) some mock up herpes, making oil lines, making sure shit fits (which it didn't so well, problems when brand name companys out source to china for their parts) me and a friend bought another parts car, this one AWD TT (VR4) basically was a full car, just taken apart. I mean everything was there down to every washer. took a few parts off of it, sold the rest, friend took the shell and some other parts... I would have bought it for myself, but I didn't realize at the time how cheap the guy was going to sell it for, only paid $400 for the whole thing, even got a tool box and brand new engine stand with it..... I would have bought it for myself, put it back together with the new turbo kit, painted it flat black, and took it out on the street to rape this spring...oh well :/ Billet Titanium rods I've been dreaming of running :'( secret box of goodies and a fancy coupler...not really...just more AN fittings and line... some 4 piston TT calipers I pulled off the vr4.... generic pic of them.

| but now things have slowed down...I got a girlfriend, and the holidays :/ definitely taking away some attention, and more importantly money...but as soon as Christmas is over I'll be back at it. Nice shot of the car at my GF's cabin/shop/barn thing out in BFE outside of Byron IL Added a TT intake plenum, along with new spark plug wires, trying to clean the car up and do some winter maintenance...TT plenum really livens the car up in the top end on the n/a's... Now I'm in the process of just waiting, while I work for money, then order parts with said money, then do it all again next week... I have part of the header kit at a friends being modified to fix the issues I have with it...hopefully I will get it back shortly.. so onto the other stuff. Here's what the current setup is/will be till I have some more time and money to sink into the fancy stuff Stock engine Stock Trans Gates Racing Kev belt Ninja Performance Solid Tensioner 3SX TD05 Kit modded China bay E316G's 450cc Injectors Modified TT Wiring Harness 92 TT ECU MAF-T MMCD Logger Tial Q BOV Custom FMIC setup 4X30X15 core with 3" in/out Probably that will set me off at about 350whp depending on how much boost i can get away with off the bat on a 93/e85 mix. this setup, tuned right with supporting fuel mods for full e85 would be good for about 550whp on the stock n/a engine based on others with the same setup... Parts I would like to see come for the 1000awhp build Ray Pampena Stage 3 Built Oringed Short block Custom/modified 3SX TD05 Kit Custom 4" SS Downpipe Twin Tial 38mm Wastegates 4" SS Single Exhaust, No Mufflers, No Cats, Maybe a Resonator. PTE 6262 BB turbos stuffed in a custom TD05 housing, might go bigger though some one was close to 1000whp on 34 PSI, so I will probably need to find somthing different eventually, I will do more collaboration... | Damn it looks like you've got your work cutout for you. Im digging the fuel setup, put a very similar fuel system in my wrx earlier this year, its nice to get that done right away. | |

| Thanks. Yeah the whole system was shot. All the factory fittings were rusted and crap. Only way to get them apart was to cut them. So i trashe everything but the rails and the tank lol. | |

| I've heard of a lot of the FWDTT cars being piles of shit, but it looks like you're doing it in the correct order so I hope it works out well for you. Car looks clean. | |

I drove a 9B SL-TT car awhile while, on 13 psi it was actually very impressive, and didn't spin bad at all. With a good set of tires you can really snag some nice traction from them, but I definitely won't be staying FWD forever, especially once I go for big power. I'll probably buy a pair of wheels to slap some street radials on for street foreplay...I really want to play with some of the faster cars up in Madison this spring/summer...I was up there last summer with my red car and no one was really interested sadly

Don't half ass shit lol.

| ohhhhhh. yeah, I know what you mean lol.
No I do my best not to half ass anything, and always use quality parts, even often where quality isn't really a factor...
With quality, come more power, and better reliability.

| Well im in a dilemma....
I got raped by the locals finest...
$1000+++ in tickets + $150 roadside bond + 2 court dates...might put a dent on my build...
Last night was minding my own business and random small town cop decided he would pull me over and nail me with everythinf he could...window tint...exhaust.."illegal modifications"....noise ordinances... damn white collar small town cops always get me... was completely minding my own business. Doing 30ish in a 35 in 4th. Didnt even rev match a downshift.... so that was 4 tickets worth $725.
Then today which was my fault... i was hooning a bit and got clocked at a fairly decent speed.... sat in the back of a cop car for awhile (most comfortable one ive been in honestly) and was issued two tickets and offered a roadside bond of $150 to avoid jail and more fines and fees.
All i can say is LOL....
Now that all being said...i may have struck a deal with someone on a nice single turbo kit + cash for my td05 stuff...might be down with that... could help me out with that and still get me close to my goals....probably save me money in a few ways...
@ KP116, yeah lol. that's why its a 1 part 1 day 1 step etc at a time type build....I wish these cars were half as cheap as a DSM to build...and had half the aftermarket.

| Here's a update: I sold my Twin Turbo kit for a pretty good junk of a change, and made a very nice profit on it. So Single Turbo is a go. However I'm going to put it off for awhile, and do a bunch of other stuff I've been wanting to do first, that will still be very beneficial So Now that The holidays are over, and I am getting over this flu thing i apparently have, It's time to get back to work on the stealth; to start things off I just dropped mild chunk of change on parts; and heres whats coming next. VR4 Big Brake Kit Coilovers Wheels Drive Train Mods More Bolt ons Some Cosmetic Accessories And some more maintenance and TLC as always; Plus. since I've got most of the parts laying around in my garage, I might slap on a set of stock turbos for the time being to have some fun. I also got this first Christmas.... Probably the best present i have ever been given. First things first. Time to do the brakes. For those who don't know, I am converting to 1st Gen AWD-TT Brakes. 4 Piston Calipers, and 11+" Rotors. Which requires AWD front Knuckles + Hubs, and 17" wheels. So I ordered New Knuckles directly from Mitsubishi, and a set of Hubs from Rock Auto, along with many other parts. full rebuild, new pistons, seals, o rings, etc. cleaned up, ready to be primed. Final coat of primer. (did the bolts too, I wire brushed them, then washed them. They will be painted Matte Black.) finished. Unfortunetly that's all I got for now; I ordered EBC Red-Stuff Brake pads, I'm wondering if maybe I might have made a mistake for not going with the yellows, as they are their "track" pad and suit my driving a little better, but should be okay for spiritual street drives, but I'm not sure if I will make any track days this year. They should be here this weekend along with the rest of the parts to finish Assembling my calipers. I'm trying to get everything squared away for this car, maintenance wise, there are a few things that need repaired, such as my Ebrake cables, New Starter, and New starter cable. After I install all my new parts, the next purchases are Coilovers, and Wheels. Then I will crack down on the single turbo build. | |
