| I know there are some hunters on here, so post up pics of what you got this year. It seems people have either seen nothing at all, or have had really good luck. This is "technically" the first deer I have gotten hunting. A friend of my dad's is going to green score it after he finishes mounting. If it comes close to the limit for Boone and Crocket we will have it officially scored. Its 13 points, 21-3/4" inside spread, and the longest tine is just short of 11". |

More people i know found dead ones this year than shooting them. one scored 217 and two others found dead were around 180. |

| Thats what happened with me last year. We own 70 acres in Richland Center, and the idiots who own the neighboring property shot a big doe poorly in the guts. It ran onto our land and they didnt bother tracking it since there wasnt a bloodtrail. |

| Massive buck. I didnt see shit this year. We have all sorts of bucks running around on camera though. Just have to find a way to keep them moving other than 2 - 4 am when all the pictures are taken. | |

| Dumped a Doe opening day in the afternoon. She came running at me and I sent one through her upper right brisket at 50 yds.and it went out the guts. She still managed to go down the valley, jump a ravine and go up the hill before showing any blood. Then half her guts fell out going up the hill and I found her stuffed in a dead fall so one in the head to put her down. This was the first deer I had shot since '95. It has been scarce around our farm for Doe and with the DNR's overreaching tactics of "earn a buck". We are also right in the CWD eradication zone and our farm is surround by public hunting. Just hoping to see something during gun season is about all you can expect since the herd has been decimated by assholes that like to kill 50 deer a year. During that spell I missed a few bucks on drives shooting for others so I had also earned a rep for being a shit shot. So I had my Buck tag. Next day went back up over the hill top to the same valley since Dad had mentioned seeing a few bucks and doe one valley over. That was the foggy Sunday morning. About 8ish a herd came through the woods at about 75yds and I scoped til I spotted Antlers and dumped the Buck pictured below. So a 15 year dry spell broken and 15 hours later my largest buck ever shot. I use a 12 gauge Mossberg Bolt Action with a rifled barrel shooting SABOT rounds. 1.5-5 X20 scope on top. and that is a beauty of a Buck you shot, well done, Congrats. |
