Aww, isn't this tiny, four-cylinder copy of the Corvette LS7.R's architecture cute? The 1,645cc V4 is destined for a new American performance bike, but only weighing 130lbs, it could be near ideal for engine swaps or kit cars.

April 2010 - The Motus KMV4 prototype on a wide open throttle dyno run. This was a successful test of the new ECU and common-rail Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) fuel system operating on its own. Max RPM on this run was 7,000RPM, putting out about 147bhp and 122 ft.lbs torque.

150 ponies seems like a good deal of power for the concept, but you think about the bikes these days with inline engines making like 180 or more.. the motor on arctic cats f8 makes like 170 stock.

im trying to figure out whats even similar to an lsx motor with this thing other than the cam is in the block head design & block isnt the same or even similar, head surface angle to the intake is completely different, port design, etc, it has a block girdle/maincap assy, water passages are different, badass nonetheless.
maybe im missing something?

a new GSXR 1000 makes something like 185hp and I'm willing to bet it weighs a LOT less than this powerplant. it's a cool concept but I don't think it's going to be much of a performer right out of the box..

2010 GSXR 1000 makes 191 bhp and 81 lb/ft. Anyways a better engine to compare it to would be the 1300 from Suzuki seeing as this motor is quite large. A ready to run busa motor is around 200lbs (probably wet weight) so this motor, at 130 (probably dry weight) is doing pretty good. That motor cranked out like 170 hp and 97 tq.
This thing only rev'd to 7k and made 120 tq. I would hope this thing can rev over 10k.
