| The 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. I have driven the new camaro, but they were all 3.6L V6's w/autos... The first SS we got in last summer was black with orange stripes and had an automatic. That one came in on my day off early in the morning, and they had some tool financed in it by 5:30 that night. Then we got a turquise one that was special ordered for a guy in Monroe. No one, I mean no one, was allowed to drive this thing except the tech who pdi'd it. The dude who ordered it was so crazy about it that the prep guy couldn't even take the plastic off of it until the new owner came and took pics of the car Then we didn't get any SS's until a couple weeks ago, another automatic though. This one got cleaned up and put in the showroom before I once again got to test drive it. Then today we got an SS with 3 pedals... In no way was this thing going to get away without my feet touching the pedals. I was able to sneak away for about minutes to go for a ride. Pro's: Plenty of power to get you into the triple digits before you need to get out of 4th gear Handles like a dream Seats are comfy Looks good w/the factory 20" wheels. Shifts tight Con's: I can't see out the side windows without ducking down Its hard to see out of the rear window Definately not a car for someone who is clostriphobic Has traction issues in 1st with the TCS off Overall I would have to say that I like the car, but once you cruise one with a V8 and a manual you'll know its the only way to fly! |

| Nice! I really like the new Camaro and this review only makes it seem that more appealing. Hopefully they will still be in production for a nice graduation present to myself. | |

| ^ Yeah, I think an adjustment with the power seat would cure the ducking problem. I was too antsy to get in it before anyone else had different idea's for the car |

| Yeah dude, I wrote this awhile back about driving one. It was a v6 but I had the same visibility and height issues. I could reach the bottom of the window with my thumb and the top with my pinkie on the same hand. I ended up with a new v6 camaro for a rental car this week, I have mixed feelings on it but overall I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy one. The styling is actually a lot better in person looking at it in a parking lot than any of the pictures I've seen. Except of course for those awful truck tires, but keep in mind this is a base model rental car. The interior however, is a fucking disaster area of cheap garbage black plastic for miles and miles. Seriously, it's depressing to be in. These pictures actually make it look a lot better than it is, but once your inside and surrounded by it.....it's just awful and depressing. It feels like your in a base model kia or worse. As far as driving it? No thanks. Cheap, under powered brakes make every stop a fucking thrill ride. The car really feels like it weights 6000 pounds in turns, braking and acceleration. I know these are supposed to be a 300hp V6 right? It feels like a 4 cylinder, no torque, really slow pickup and the most boring exhaust sound ever. This one is an automatic though which just adds to the pain. The worst thing about it is the complete lack of visibility. I'm not writing this as a camaro virgin or a hater. At one point I owned 3 of the last body style in a row because I loved them so much. A 93 V6, a 96 SS and a 97 30th anniversary. This one is nothing like those to see out of, its so much worse!! I could literally reach the top of the window with my thumb while touching the bottom of the window with the pinkie of the same hand. It's literally no more than 7 inches tall. The windshield? Fucking forget about it. Seriously this is all you can see, its a total joke. It can't be a drift car either, as you can see if you pull the e-brake at 70mph it yells at you. All this being said, there were two occasions when I got out of the car that girls just about fell over themselves to ask me about the car. One was pulling into a convenience store and I bought a soda and the girl at the register was like Is that your car? I just said yup. She said my god that is sex on wheels I wanted to test drive one so bad or at least get a ride in one maybe? I just said maybe and left cause I was in a hurry. The other was in target, I got out and two girls in the parking lot just walked over and asked me to take them for a ride in it so I did. I will be calling one of them when I come back next week haha so as always, there is a use for the american muscle car. | |

| THe more and more I look at them, the more they grow on me, but I still prefer the Dodge Challenger to it in the looks department. I know a few guys on other forums, who love em! I just think its cool, that the big three offers decent options.

Really? I've never seen any come in with a brake issue, I haven't seen any bulletins, and there's plenty of them on the road. |

ZERO brake issues with the new Camaro dude. I have yet to see a write up on this?? Only problem was with the 6 speed trans which they stopped production on this summer but the quickly fixed. People bitched about brake noise but i have news for ya, it's Brembo. You are going to have some noise. Brake weights can helped this a little. WTF, you must be thinking of Toyota |

| I remember that Dodge had an issue with their Brembo brakes having alot of noise on the SRTs. My 06 Magnum SRT had noise and then in 07 they fixed it by offering slotted rotors. You could also bitch enough about your 06 and they would upgrade them for free. |

| You know I've never had issues with my brembo's on the challenger. It might be something they fixed by the time the 09 year came out.

| I thought it was a bigger issue than just brake squeal, I just saw headlines that said "new camero has brake issues." Kind of a ghetto fix with the weights haha, what ever works though. Idk I just never got into the style, the challenger is still my favorite new muscle car. To each his own though, and it does come with good tire smoking power. | |

| The 2011 Mustang will at least have the power to back up it's styling now too. The 2010s have really grown on me. |

| ^ Yeah, I'm not a Ford guy, but when I first saw those 2010s I thought it looked like someone threw up on some play-dough. I got to get up close on one at the World of Wheels in Milwaukee, and in person it was a different story. many likenesses to a '69 'stang, and that Petty blue is the color to have IMO. |

Here let me fix that post for you! All teasing aside I agree 100% with Zac. 2009 was pretty shaky, but up close the New mustang is pretty close to the old school. I can't wait for them to release an eleanor version. Mike | |
