| I have a 1997 grand prix gtp with a CAI and 3.4" supercharger pulley. I was wondering if anyone knows of any local shops that know how to properly reprogram my PCM. i found a website www.3800performance.com that sells tuned ones and also will take mine and tune it. My only concern is that i dont know if i can trust the company or not. the website is nothing special at all so it makes me wonder if they actually know what there doing. I'm just looking for someone elses input. i dont like any of the pontiac forums because there full of grand am driving D-bags that dont know what their talking about. Thanks for your time. |

| this site also has a Grand Am driving d-bag that doesn't know what she's talking about. I think 3vs197 may be able to tune your car but I can't say for sure. send him a message. | |

| hi, and yes i can tune your car. send me a pm for more info. and if you question my knowledge, let me say my last car was a 02 gtp that ran a 12.6 on street tires and trapped 112, oh and i tuned it.
and btw, you pulley is too small for not having other supporting mods, but money fixes that.

| zzperformance.com has alot of stuff for the 3800 and grand prix in general. they usually sell PCM to match your mods but its always better to have someone with HPtuners tune it for you. | |

Im pretty much broke right now lol and the pulley was just a starter mod i figured i'd get, what do you reccomend i do for supporting mods? i heard a new pcm and thermostat were the first things i should do, i already have an intake. im just stuck financialy when it comes to engine mods. any advice would be awsome. Thanks. |

| LS1 swap
Oh wait thats not this website. Tyes probly the expert on the subject here, but do you have any exhaust mods? Id imagine that engine would want to breath better with the smaller pulley.

| i would recommend a 3" off road down pipe for exhaust, the stock catback works ok for a while. as far as engine mods go, the sky is the limit. if you want some cheap stuff to make decent power, i would get modded stock 1.9 ratio rocker arms. they can be installed relatively easily and provide a decent boost in power. i can also do any install you need as i have probably done it 7 times. with 1.9 rockers, downpipe, CAI, pulley, and tune i ran a 13.6 on street tires in my GTP. i wouldnt go much further than that unless you wanna build a trans. | |
