| Im doing the spark plugs on the trans am (94 LT1) and the P/S four and front three on the D/S are done and I got the back one on the DS out. I go to put in the new one and...IT WONT THREAD IN AT ALL! From what I can see all the threads look good and the old plug came out clean. Ive spent about the last two hours trying to get this piece of shit to go in but it wont catch thread.
So what do I do?
Try to retap the hole?(even though damage is doubtful)
I dont really know what else to try unless theres some magic fucking trick ive yet to hear.

| Yeah look at the old plug. Also take a break get some food and go back to it. I'm guessing your just stressing out and getting frustrated.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. LOL At least JD did the ones on my car before I got it! LOL Yeah, take a break and come back to it. I had the same issue with re-attatching the negative battery cable to the block in the exploder. 2 hours of being pissed off and trying to get it back in..... took a break, spent a whole 5 minutes on it and had it done. Sometimes its better to walk away for a bit.

| I know this is super simple but you would be far from the first to have this happen. Are you 100% sure that the plug is the same as the others? | |

| All the old plugs appear identical. Old plug came out easy and by hand. Neither new or old will go back in. I got a "spark plug chaser/threader" and that does the same thing as the plug(wont thread). My best guess is while in time putting the new plug in i some how flattened the top thread and now nothing will catch and spin. I REALLY do not want to get this thing towed out of here but its looking likely.

| I did make an attempt to thread it in but gave up quickly as to not damage/cross thread anything.

| ^youre right about that! Its a pretty tight fit for my hand and ive tried every imaginable angle. The angle was my first guess but im still thinking i mashed the top thread | |
