unusual colored c5 corvette

Saw a tan colored corvette driving through waupun today outside an auto shop. It was a creamy light brown color ive never seen on a vette before. Have any of you seen one like this before? Or is it a custom job?

Uh could be the ultra rare Aztec Gold Metallic. Only 15 made.

No, this was a lot lighter, almost like the color of a piece of fresh cut pine

Must be a custom job. Aztec Gold is a cool color in person but nearly impossible to photograph well. Of the 15 made, 3 were convertibles. GM couldn't figure out how to consistently get the color to match from panel to panel so the it was quickly canceled.

My car has the same problem, I wonder if thats why they didnt make many of those either

Mikey T, what color is Terry's corvette? It sounds like he is describing that color.

Terry's is platinum, more of pewter color, but Terry currently has the engine out to work on so I doubt it was his.

I was thinking pewter was the next color. In the right light, I've seen it take on a slight tint of color.

This was definitely not pewter. I know my gm colors fairly well and I cant say ive ever seen it in anything else. I dont know why someine would paint a vette that.color though.

Haha it really does look good in person. Its totally different. It screams for different wheels though, vette guys call those wagon wheels and they never looked good on any color and even worse with gold. I'm not saying its my favorite but it doesn't make you want to puke either. You'll just have to take my word for it though as I doubt you'll ever see one unless you go to the Bloomington Gold show or the like lol.

i seen it. its a custom color! with like 20in+ rims! looked awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
