Well I decided to play around a bit after going home last night to see how the new 295's worked on the car. The results shocked me a bit. Ok, to put it in perspective let's compare the data. First, the car.
4000 lb with me 727 rmv transmission 3.91 gears. Earlier in the day before the tire change I decided to do some comparisons.
I got a dynometer that measures 0 to 60, 1/4 mile all that shit.
Anyway yesterday I decided to do a comparison between the 275's and 295's
275's run 0 to 60. Early afternoon, 60 degrees.
First run 4.73
Second run 4.86
Both times spun a little, pulled strong.
295's later in evening 40 degrees!
First run 5.83!
Second run 6.77! (shifted from 1st to 3rd)
Third run 5.67
Each time spun a little, but felt a little laggy going up to 3000 rpms. So for all this coolness I lost almost a full second 0 to 60 miles an hour! I'm going to get into it later today and see if a wire didn't fall off or something, but this isn't good
