My name is Ron. Currently I don't drive anything too interesting (a tuned '08 Taurus, and an '07 Sentra with an MR20DE and a 6 speed) but I've owned 17 Mustangs, a Datsun 280ZX, some Ford Probe GT's, a Kouki S14 240, and a bunch of other cars though.

Thanks! I've got a sweet spot for Mustangs but love all cars.

Thanks. My first car was a '79 notch and the newest I owned was an '06. The last one I owned was a '96 GT that had been hit light in the front and I had rebuilt/repainted in Dark Highland Green like an '01 Bullitt. My favorite was a black '89 GT 'vert. When the lease is up on my Sentra next winter I plan on getting a new edge GT.

welcome man. I had two 89 probe GT's back in the day. one was mild and ran 13's and the other was pretty built and ran 11's on the spray. haha i miss those cars. no one seemed to know about the turbo probes and were always like wtf. enjoy the site!

Nice!! An 11 second Probe is pretty wild. I drove a couple '89 GT's, but only owned second gen's... '93, '94, 2 '95's, and a '97. One had bolt on's, weight reduction and ran a best of 14.3 which is about all the better you can really get out of one of those until you look at FI. I like the looks and handling of the second gens better, but the turbo first gens had way more power potential in my opinion.

Not to derail the thread, but weren't the Ford Probe's made on a Mazda chassis? It sticks in the back of my head that the Probe was also the same as the MX6...

You're right.

Mazda was part of the Ford group of cars. If I'm not mistaken, Ford owned a majority share in the company and collaborated heavily with them. The Probe/MX6 were cousins, and even the last of the imported RX7's contained a great deal of the same components (compare a second gen Probe interior to a comparable year RX7). The Escort/Protege and B2000/Ranger are more examples.

The mazda 3 and speed 3 are still built on the focus chassis with some handling tweaks I believe.

Indeed.

I loved the first 6, but the new one hasn't grown on me yet. The new Fusion is awesome though! The sport has the same 263hp 3.5DOHC that's in my Taurus, a 6 speed with paddle shifters, all wheel drive, and the styling is right on too.
