most of you already know this, but here goes anyway. I plan on moving to Madison or Middleton or something in the very near future and hope to have a very short commute and may get a moped or something. my mom and my sister are moving to Minneapolis as soon as this house sells and will be driving a lot and want better MPG's. I'm tired of FWD and car payments, so my mom is taking over the payments on my Civic, we're soon selling the MDX and I now have this.

it's an Inferno Red 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the bulletproof 4.0L inline-6 engine and the piece of shit 42RE transmission. fully loaded with heated leather, moonroof, 10 disc Infinity sound and all of that good shit. it was originally bought by my grandpa for my sister in 2007 with 45k on it. I just hit 120k with it on the way home from Automotion on friday.

plans are mainly just maintenance; it still has the original fluids in the trans, transfer case, and both differentials. Tye and I (95% him) replaced the original fuel filter last week. also needs new brakes so I'm doing them all around along with the serpentine belt on saturday. the stock shocks are nice and mushy so as long as they need to be replaced I'm going to have a little fun and do a 2" Skyjacker lift with their Hydro 7000 shocks. also, the driver seat heater doesn't work so I'm hoping to have brngrhd take care of that one before it gets cold again since I wouldn't have the slightest clue how. I ordered a factory RB1 navigation radio today, will eventually order a K&N intake and a Borla catback, then tint the front windows and call it done and drive it into the ground.

Riding a moped is like fucking a fat chic. Lots of fun, you just dont want to be seen doing it.

Hard to drive a moped when you have a few in you. But they seem to have all the fucking rights when on the road though. Get one with the worlds loudest exhaust. MAD TYTE JDM.

Jeeps give me moderate wood. Only slightly.

That's exactly what I want for winter. A jeep grand cherokee, not your wood.

Cool. Save your money on the k&n intake though. It won't do shit for you except filter worse and cost more.

hmm why do you say that? I had one on my first Jeep which was a 2000 Grand Cherokee 4.7 and while it didn't do shit for economy it seemed like it gave it a little more grunt.

The 4.0 doesn't respond to bolt on's. Its a tractor motor and just makes what it makes. The only way to see real gains is real stuff like a cam or stroker kit. Even exhaust won't see much power increase, maybe 4 or 5 and is only useful if you want it to be louder. Thats fine but in my opinion 4.0 six cylinders don't make the greatest sound to begin with so why amplify it.

I think it depends greatly on the system you choose... with the right one they sound cool and I think the Borla is one of them. but it's not very loud, and to be honest the main reason I'm doing it is because I like the way the big rolled tip looks. the stock one looks gross. but we'll see, that's definitely not a priority right now. I just want to make sure what actually needs to be replaced gets done.

this

don't waste your time and money modding it. It is what it is. and putting exhaust on it makes me feel like im at an antique tractor pull.
