so... got side swiped by some dude tonight

I was driving down hwy 75 just outside Davis il tonight when a dodge caravan decides to pass me. Didn't think much of it until I didn't see him come past. Look over and he's RIGHT next to me smiling at me. Just then he swerved into me. Put me in the ditch. I slammed on the brakes, avoiding the wreck in the ditch. Got behind him and got his plate number.

He pulled off on a side rd and parked. I stayed 30 yards away in the intersection. He then gets out, opens the hatch and proceeds to rummage for something. I wasn't about to stick around to find out what he was looking for so I left. Just back in town there was a cop sitting on the side of the road so I went to talk to him.

As I'm talking to the cop and giving him the license number duder drives by. I tell the cop and he flags him down.

His reason... I was harassing his friends.

Damage isn't terrible, especially considering the speed.

Holy shit! I hope the dude is sitting in jail right now. I agree you never know about people so i would of jetted as well. !

I think he got arrested after I left but I don't know for sure.

Not true. I can think of three specific examples when it is perfectly acceptable. This case though...... not so much.

The police should give you the case number for your insurance and it will have his info on it and you should be able to look up on CCAP and see what he got nailed for. Also it should say what the ticketed him for on your copy of the the report.
