def one of my favorite cages i have done. customer gave me free reighn except for the rear bars from the hoop to the floor. the cage fits so tight the interior panels barely fit around the hoop/b pillar & a pillar.

now i have another one to do this week. wish i had time to work on my own projects : (

Cool! One question are the bluejeans in the backseat part of the cage?

blue jeans optional.

cost can vary wildly depending on if you remove/install your interior or if i do it. i would say 4-500 if i can get in an do the job. but if there is tons of shit in the car while its here (blue jeans for example) cost goes up quickly

4-500 is a excellent price.

Street/strip cage or SCCA/Midwestern Council legal cage? Even if it is a street/strip cage that is low. All the 6 points from autopower i have priced are around 800 without install. The last two cages we had done for the race cars went around a thousand.

I agree the price is really pretty awesome! Well done sir! I've seen as high as $1200, well it was for a car that was trying to maintain as much interior as possible

Off topic, but BJ I never realized that cage design would differ that much between SCCA and drag racing? I actually would think that NHRA standards would be higher then that of SCCA.

this is alot more of an scca/autocross cage than anything. definitely not a drag style cage.

Depends....Every road racing series has their own unique rules. The faster you get in NHRA the higher the cage safety becomes. Same for the SCCA series. I haven't drag raced in years but I know the first cage required isn't much. Someone well versed on NHRA cage rules could explain it better.

the big thing with drag cages in the past few years is the 25.X spec stuff. the sfi foundation has pretty much made all cars built more than 5-10 years ago obsolete, pretty much all of the pro street cars that are actually capable of any decent times. its really worth looking into each of the 25.X specs imho, they have come up with some solid theories in safety.
