| my buddy just picked up a 93 legacy sedan with an auto transmission that has no reverse. Im trying to figure out if I can swap in the 5 speed from my 98 impreza. there both 2.2l engines and since he cant afford a different trans for his car im trying to jewcraft something together. And it works out good since my car is blown to fuck anyway. Any imput would be great. | |

| Sounds like the blower motor resistor, not the switch. | |

| I was doing some research on rs25.com and it looks like the whole driveline shabang needs to be swapped over. Trans, driveshaft rear diff and axles computer plus some wire splicing | |

| Yeah man there are going to be some typical auto to manual swap issues you'd have.
If it has ABS there are speed sensors on the auto trans that are part of the ABS system so you will either have to wire something together or not have ABS.
You may or may not be able to use the same speedo cable.
You will have to rewire the neutral start switch, reverse lights and and lockouts that the auto trans has.
You will probably have to get a new drive shaft.
You will need to source a clutch pedal and master cylinder assembly (I assume from your car).
That's just shit you have to do that is non specific to a Subaru, who knows what else you'll find. | |
