As much as I feel like I am setting myself up to get my shit jacked;

Eclipse CD8053 deck run in "pro" mode which gives me time alignment over each woofer/tweeter. Actively crossed over at the deck.
Phass audio tweeters (not installed yet)
Usher 7" woofers (not installed yet) http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=296-602
JBL GTO 12" subwoofers mounted infinite baffle.
Pheonix gold XS2500 for the subs
Pair of Diamond audio amps for the front speakers
Monster cable and all that shit

Previous setup was 9" woofers in my front doors with boston tweeters in the a pillars.

I am actually currently working on getting all this stuff into my car, it kind of sucks honestly. The pile of amps is proving to be hard to install in an area where they won't ruin what little trunk space I have. My subs are mounted infinite baffle, the cavity is vented to the trunk and the trunk is sealed from the interior. Those are 12s. My lazy ass is just now finishing the trim to cover them.

Tusk, might take you up on that one. I am going to get the amps mounted and installed, then comes tweeter placement. I really need help with that, I am indecisive as hell.

If your system hadn't been posted already, I would have not posted mine! lol Thanks for testing the waters.

I guess I never updated this thread. Sub installation was finished last summer, I need to get my tweeters mounted. Here is a picture of my back seat. That is the stock trim with a grille. Looks factory inside the car, I have had people actually stick their head in there and not notice.

Need more updates Smile Still sticking with the JBLs? Thought you were not overly impressed with them.

Yeah, it sounds crappy. It is an enormous amount of work to swap them out honestly. I basically have to remove the front/rear seats and trim to get everything apart. I do still have a pair of eclipse woofers I need to try out, but need the motivation first.

I have focused my sights on a basic amp/sub/components in my 530i. That car sounds like absolute crap.

So what don't you like about the sub setup? Uber stealth can be a PITA, but IMO a very cool way to go.

Every so often I think about switching my sub stage up, but then just say nope. I'm getting a bit lazy in my years..... though I think I have figured out how to do IB 15"s in the GTO now..... Smile

We're gonna have to meet up once things thaw out around here.

I just don't like the way it sounds. It sounds like a sub mounted in a box that is way too large. I think it is because the JBL's aren't really intended to be used in an IB setup. They go deep, but they also generate a bit of mechanical noise. They don't sound "bad" per se' but aren't up to what I wanted either.

Scott Buwalda did it with 15s without issue, so I know its do-able. I just need to put more work in. Maybe hanging out with another car audio guy will get me motivated to work on it again, we need to get together. I am lazy too, hence the reason it took a billion years to get my car looking presentable.
