| Hey yall, my name is Justin, aka JL-07STI-LTD, on most of the forums I use. If you cant guess from the user name, I drive a '07 Subaru STI (Limited 631/800). It is Urban Grey Metallic. I havent done too much to it, but she is definately an amazing car to drive. She has an SPT Air Intake, TurboXS VTA BOV, Invidia Catless DP, Greddy Spectrum Elite CBE, 1000cc Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors, Deatschworks 300lph fuel pump, E85 conversion, ACT 6-Puck racing clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate, and a Streetlite flywheel. I also run a hybrid boost control set-up (Grimmspeed 3-port Electronic BC and Grimmspeed Manual BC)
I was dynotuned in Utah at 4700+ ft above Sea-Level. My numbers are 336 awhp and 369 awtq...

Im orginally from WI. I joined the AF out of high school. Spent 4 years in Japan before I got an assignment to Utah. I got out of the AF in Sept after my 6 year enlistment was over, and now Im ready to come back home. I have a job lined up, and a new place to stay in Shawano. Just seeing what WI has to offer as far as performance cars. When I left, there were not a whole lot of fast imports, just the usual domestics (Mustangs and Camaros) |

@ Preston... better than regretting keeping it! yea with your current mods I would just leave it power wise unless you plan on getting a built block lol | |

@ Preston... better than regretting keeping it! yea with your current mods I would just leave it power wise unless you plan on getting a built block lol Yeah...I dont plan on blowing my engine anytime soon, lol. I like where I am at, though the desire for more power is always there. However, I have seen bad upgrade paths turn on you...My buddy blew out his clutch on his 08 WRX twice now because he is pushing 345 awhp and 388awtq. To top off his woes, he also just blew out 1st gear in the trans. Watching him build has really made me smarter about mine. I see him buy one upgrade after another, but it never lasts him long because its not enough. He bought a VF52 turbo because it was an upgrade to what came stock in his WRX, then after a few months, he ended up buying a Blouche 440xt. Now hes talking about getting rid of that too, lol. You can never sell the parts for what you pay for them, so I dont see why he doesnt just wait for what he wants.. As for my build, I know where I am at is safe, and anything more becomes severly unreliable. I wont buy a turbo to get me closer to 400 awhp, when in all reality, I want a turbo to get me closer to 600 awhp. However before I do that, I will have to do a pricey build on the engine other supporting mods...ie, forged internals, darton sleeves, billet crank, intake manifold, UL header, Engine Mounts, Trans Mounts, pitch stop, CAMS, +1mm Valves. You know...the normal KICK Butt Build?! |
