Current fix up is my brothers FFR Cobra, he is doing the long labor and when it is ready I'll step in and get it up and running/tuned right.

Weiand 142 atop the 347 SBF. It should keep up with me now Wink Seriously, it was dead even last summer. I may have to put the Nuclear option on the Camaro to beat him.

Edsel's 390cid FE is back together, going in this week if we get some spare time. Heads where gone through, new valves and seats so we can run unleaded fuel.

Very Happy I like it, good one.....Clown car is about right. We get our DD and the posse gets rolling we are a bunch of drunk ass hats falling out of a clown car.

That is the original color config for the E400 engine that went into the '58 Edsels. The original FE was a 361 cid. Ours is a 390 because my great uncle blew the original up, and he built this motor to go in it. The bottom end is still his build.

Back to trying to work on some projects. The past few months have been a blur life wise so try to keep in touch with guys on here.

Dan and I were talking about German and Japanese cars and the fact the only reason they are any good is because of the Marshall Plan. If we didn't kick the snot out of them and then rebuild them the cars they produce today wouldn't be around.

Why do I mention that? The flippn undercoating and rubber sound deadening they put in the BMW is the nasty, hardest, most swear word inducing stuff in the world. I've got 3 hours of scrapping and half way done with the inside.

The kid, he went to work on the engine bay. Who says 5 year olds can't work

Aw dude, I don't know how I missed this before. I love the 2002's.

The guys with the datsun zcars use dry ice to freeze the undercoating then smash it to pieces.

Good luck, looks like some rot in the trans tunnel area huh?

No, just bad camera angle and lighting. It is amazingly solid. two spots in the passenger feet area that will be easy, one spot on the right rear quarter. Otherwise it is solid as a rock. The only reason I did the trade for it. Normally the trunk, strut towers, floor pan and front end are rusted to hell and they are still sought after. Body panels on the outside are very straight. So the amount of body work won't drive me insane.

Zip strip has worked best. Dump it on, brush it around and let is soak for 15 minutes then start scraping.

Happy to hear the trans tunnel was bad lighting, because it looked pretty freaking bad. I agree finding a solid-ish example is tough. How it ended up like that in WI one may never know. I love the cars though, classic lines.

Good luck with it, keep us updated.

Slow today so the front and rear chassis and suspension were dropped, put the unibody on jack stands and body work can begin as soon as I tear the glass out.
