Just had quite the fun little weekend. I can't feel my shoulders, and my hands look like I got in a fight with a really mean cat.

A couple weekends ago I put on my Torque Thrust rims and changed the oil and tranny fluid, put on an SLP lid, and installed a 10'' sub with a 1000watt amp. This weekend was where the real fun began.

Pacesetter coated headers, ory y pipe and a Borla catback exhaust. New NGK iridium spark plugs and MSD plug wires. LS6 intake swap as well as a Jantzer powdercoated and ported/polished throttle body.

The headers were definitely a pita. Probably took me 6 hours total taking the stockers off and putting on the new ones with the ory and new catback. Fitment was actually quite a bit better than I thought it was going to be. Didn't have to do any pounding or "makeshift fitting," just a little good old fashion muscling and maneuvering. The lift did wonders of help with that though.

The intake swap went pretty well. Would have only taking a couple hours tops but I broke the oil pressure sending unit behind the intake in trying to take it out. Evil or Very Mad The sad thing is, I read about that little bastard on practically every thread or write up in ls1tech about this job. Still fing broke it.

Got everything on, fired it up, and she runs like a champ. It's like a different car now! I knew there would be a difference but it's quite noticeable. Not as loud as I thought it'd be, but that's probably a good thing. The headers definitely make it a different sounding car.

Here are some pics:

New intake and tb. I painted it that silver, still not sure if that was a good idea or not. I definitely like the red tb though Wink

The engine bay all apart. You can definitely tell engineers design cars, not mechanics.

Overall I had a blast putting everything together. If not for a few hiccups and a fridge full of beer in the shop i was working in, maybe could have got it all done on one good day of work, but I seriously doubt it. Next comes a built trans and stall, probably going to wait until winter. I doubt I'm going to be able to park this biotch before I absolutely have to now. Heads and cam work is definitely in the future, but I might leave that top the experts.

I'll post some pics of the finished product tonight. Sorry for the quality, everything was taken on my phone.

Engine bay after the installs.

Not a whole lot really. I think I'm going to leave it alone until winter. I need to fix my driver's side power window and get the SES light tuned out. Btw do you know of anyone on here who'd be able to do that for me?

I got a set of red top injectors that I could put in, but I don't see the point until I get a Walbro and some additional power mods.
