| Alright, instead of just posting pictures of what I got in the mail on Facebook, I'll just do a build thread. Around August, I took my car completely apart. The plan? 2.3L stoker pushing 500WHP on pump. So far, I got Wiseco 1400HD pistons and Manley Turbo Tuff rods. Turbo Tuff compared to the stock rods. And of course, the most important thing for a stoker, the 4G64 crank. Now that I got the main things for the shortblock, it's time to get it machine. Bored .020" over, decked, and then honed. Also got the crank balanced checked and polished. And just got my valve cover back from powder coating yesterday. So far, so good. Found this gem for a good price. Still deciding if I should rebuild it and use it or just go for a Quarter Master. If someone offers something reasonable for this, I might take that offer and get the Quarter Master. So far, this is pretty much all I got. I'll try to keep this updated but if my job doesn't pick up soon, then there might not be much to update until I get some money. Next up is the head. Spring, retainers, porting, etc. | |

| Nice build, just curious are you going to consider running E85 or are you staying on stock ECU or fuel system? | |

| I'm going to get either 1200cc or 1600cc so I can mess around with E85. Maybe shoot for 600WHP on E85 but I think that's pushing it a little. Fuel system will be ECU controlled. As for turbo, I'm leaning towards an HTA76 just because it spools fast and I can get around 500WHP on pump fairly easier than an FP Green. | |

| It's powdercoat. The camera and flash makes it look worse than what it is. | |

| Haven't updated in a long while but I finally got enough money to buy all my parts for the head and have it all assembled. Supertech dual springs and titanium retainers kit Supertech valves, inconel exhaust and black nitrate intake, both +0.5mm Supertech valve guides Ferrea valve locks Oh, did I mention port and polished too? I'll take more pictures of it once I get the money to get it back. | |

| Finally got the head back from the machine shop. Another shot of the bottom. Now this is the intake side. Closer shot. This was maybe one of the more expensive things on my list that I finally got done. Things should be moving a little faster after this. | |

Thanks. Just scored this twin disc for free thanks to a fellow EvoM member that was cleaning out his basement. By far, the best deal I gotten in a while. | |

| Some minor updates. Was gone for some military shit pretty much all of July so wasn't really able to buy things. Finally home and got a few goodies in the mail. Some Tial's. 50mm Q BOV and a 44mm wastegate. As for color matching, whatever. Got both for a great deal. My current front subframe is all fucked up with rust and a seized bolt that will not move so the control arm and subframe are just stuck there. I've decided to say fuck it, I'm just going to cut up the subframe and the bolt to save the control arm and order new bolts. In the mean time, I ordered a used subframe from a donor Evo in Florida and it just came in the mail. All I can say is holy fuck. No rust anywhere to be found on this thing. Also came with a steering rack, which I didn't really need but wanted to replace anyways so it's a win-win situation for me. Last thing I got wasn't mailed to me but given to me from a friend. He had this lip laying around, wanting to put it on his car but he sold the car before we could paint it and slap it on. I was planning on putting the park bench back on the trunk but now, I don't know. What do you guys think? Wing or this lip? Ordered a few more shit today so they'll be in this week. | |

| Nice build, I am really interested to see where this goes. But go with the lip, everyone and their mom has the bench wing and the lip look way cleaner! JMO. | |

| Alright, some more shit came in and that should be it for this month. Need to save the rest of this months' money to get my tranny back from TMZ Performance. Out of all the cam gears for the Evo, this is by far the best looking one and maybe even the highest quality one you can find. Shit even came with ARP studs to lock the cam timing. This one, I decided to get on a group buy. WAS going to use it on a friend's car but we decided to go to the car show instead. Maybe next time, I'll be able to test thing thing out. What it's supposed to do. | |

| Haven't updated this in a while. Just a small update. GSC S2 cams Buschur 65mm ported throttle body (no pics) -6AN valve cover fittings (no pics) Now for a big update. Finally got my trans. Just fully built and ready for a lot of launching. TMZ Stage 2 built Shotpeen all the gears Final drive is now 4.0 (from 4.529:1), making the rest of the gears longer. 1st now goes up to 45mph (before, 40mph), 2nd gear 68mph (60mph), 3rd gear 94mph (83mph), etc. Cruising at 70mph, RPM is now at 2500RPM instead of 3000RPM in 5th gear, so it'll save me some gas. And with my turbo choice, the redline will also be changed to 7500RPM to make the most out of it and more mph in all the gears (1st will be 48mph, 2nd 72mph, etc) Tim is the man to get your trans built. Beautiful work. Can't help but thank him a lot for his patience with me on my trans. Next up is the transfer case. Just need an LSD then sending it out to TRE for services. | |
