| Hey guys
My name is Brody. I live in Sheboygan, and am a full time student at Moraine Park Tech College's "Engine Research & Development Technician" program. I have been driving cars since I was 10 years old (my grandpa taught me how to drive on his property, and I have been ever since.) and started oval track racing when I turned 16. I raced in the enduro class at 141 speedway in Francis Creek when it was asphalt, and the one dirt enduro they held on their dirt track, and then I raced in the Impact Survival Series full time from 2010 through 2011. I started college in 2011, and couldn't afford to race anymore, so I took 2012 off, and will be taking most of this year off. I do plan on racing once this year, though. I'm in the process of building a new jizz rocket right now, as I borrowed my old jizz rocket to my granda, who also enduro races, and someone got spun into him while he was racing it, and wrecked the car.
Anyways, I really like muscle cars, but die to insurance costs and fuel costs, I'm stuck driving 4 cyl cars for now. Eventually I want to get a fox body mustang coupe and build it into a street / track car.
My first car was a 1990 mazda 323 with a 1.8 BP05 dohc engine and g series trans swap from a protege, as well as the larger front brakes from the protege, and rear discs from an escort gt. It had a ported intake manifold, K&N drop in filter, exhintake camshaft swap (the exhintake is where you take an exhaust cam out of another mazda bp engine, and install it in the intake side after drilling a new keyway in the cam gear at 197.5* off the stock keyway. It's been dyno proven to add 11 hp.), pacesetter 4-2-1 header, a custom 2.5" exhaust (with 3" cat, 3" glasspack as a resonator, and a cherry bomb turbo muffler.), and the timing was advanced to 18*. It had springs and shocks from an escort gt, and swaybars from a protege lx, and then a mazda mx3 steering rack that I took apart and depowered because it had a faster ratio than the stock manual rack. Oh, and I had a lightweight flywheel and spec stage 3+ clutch, and a custom short throw shifter. It had 195/60R15 tires on escort gt wheels.
That car got me into lots of trouble, and I eventually sold it to buy something a little newer. And that was a 2003 ford escort zx2 with a turbo kit that had a small electrical fire before I bought it. I bought it to fix up and use as a daily driver, but I wasn't able to get around to fixing the zx2 before my second year of college started, so I picked up a '99 zx2 to get me by for a year. Over this winter, I picked up another zx2, a 2000 ZX2 S/R (street/race), that has some body damage that I'm going to repair. Then I'll either sell the '03 and daily drive the s/r, or sell the s/r and drive the '03. Not sure which just yet.
Anyways, sorry for the long intro.
