| Complete pile...I don't even see how shit like this gets respect. It also makes nowhere near the hp the video says... I understand being on a budget, but its a piece, its not like he spent $0, he spent a ton of money on the engine etc. The taped speedo/tach and shitty exposed wiring was done on purpose (not to mention the nearly non-functional wood lip) to make it seem like he "gives zero f*cks". The whole car is a ploy/attitude he is trying to portray, not a real racer on a budget. BTW, the car fits into no classes for road racing or auto-x, plus it would never pass tech anywhere for anything. I don't know, it seems to me like he is trying too hard. Like a hipster and his fixie, but with cars. If he tried to pull it off a little cleaner (i.e. spend more TIME/EFFORT putting it together, not $) I would in fact respect the hell out of it and his passion. He obviously has the ability, he gave that away with the whole swap/motor combination. But he CHOSE to keep it messy to seem cool...and I don't respect that emo attitude BS, period, end of story. Here is my buddies RX7, he spent $2009, thats right, $2009 (for the $2009 challenge). 350 sbc, powerglide, fast as hell, cleanest 1g RX7 I've seen around. Oh, and 5.0 swaps are cake (for anyone who thinks that qualifies it as an accomplishment). This is in fact the same owner as the RX7 above (and my best friend). We pulled off the swap in a shady barn, only hand tools. Just some food for thought. E36 BMW, 5.0 HO, 5 spd. So in conclusion...not impressed... | |

| lol at the haters of a car some guy built for his own pleasure and not yours. Im glad you are trying to show off a car ""you and your buddy built" in basically the same fashion this guy, and trying to pass it off as your stuff is better. no one cares. | |

LOL, I'll bite. It was perspective and example of a well done car with little to no budget. You are clearly too thick to process this information. Touche' to you, go ahead an hate on our better stuff. IDGAF. I posted it because I am the professional technician guiding an unskilled person with the dream. He had the wild idea, I helped him pull it off since he had none of the tools and know how. My best friend did not build all of it, nor am I passing it off as my own... Nice try at a smarmy post. Please try again later.

| I second that, especially this part:
Complete pile...I don't even see how shit like this gets respect. It also makes nowhere near the hp the video says...
The taped speedo/tach and shitty exposed wiring was done on purpose (not to mention the nearly non-functional wood lip) to make it seem like he "gives zero f*cks". The whole car is a ploy/attitude he is trying to portray.
I'd love to take everyone who is so obsessed with creating an image and burn them in a pit of some kind.
Did you hear how crazy and zaney he is??? He wants something that would kill him AND he listened to Johnny Cash!!! What a fag.

| I'd say it's more likely around 360 at the crank. My 302 with 180k miles made 300/320 at the wheels on Nate's "conservative" dyno. | |

| I think the car itself is interesting as a statement, but the kid pretty much sounds like a tool. I see enough hipster shit at school, they should stick to bicycles.. That v8 Bimmer is pretty cool. I was so confused the first time I heard it at autox hahah. | |
