Hot Rod Power Tour 2008 Pics

I'm finally getting around to posting these up. If you have not been on the Power Tour, I would highly encourage you to check it out and see what you've been missing. I will warn you though, it's highly addictive!

I made a quick stop at a car wash in some small town with a population of maybe 500.Several other Tour cars stopped as well including a nice C4.

There's no end to the type of car you can expect to see on the Tour. Thats one of my favorite things about it.

I really think these wheels pop on the viper. I'd hate to have to keep them clean though.




Here is J Lenos new ride. It was actually driven from stop to stop. Not a bad gig to be the guy behind the wheel!

Between Tour stops I pulled off at a local park that had some cool military vehicles on display.







This thing is freaking huge! I tried to get a few shots for scale. What a beast. The box under it's belly could hold troops plus a jeep.

A popular gas station in Iowa!

Cruising the main drag after one of the shows. This was one of the most fun parts of the tour. After hours, it's just a big party everywhere you look!

The tour was happening right as there was flooding all over the midwest.

One of my favorite cars of all time! The day I have room to store one will be the day I own one.

Mazo pics FTW! We sat at the Drive In restaurant that day and watched everyone go by. Then headed to QSL until about midnight, then went back in Saturday for the fun.

i remember alot of those machines, that was my first experience with the power tour an was quite impressed with the variety that participates. this years ia to al run is a bit far fetched for my no heat 4.10 geared crap unfortunately, the kickoff in newton would be nice or check out springfield...

Very cool, nonetheless. Maybe a ride to Springfield could be scheduled...

Hell yeah man the Power Tour is a great time. We also went in '08. Tons of sweet cars and cool people. Now I'm just waiting for it to come back to Wisconsin again.

Awesome! I remember when it rolled through town 2 year back! Their were hot rods everywhere on East Washington! It was like the 80's all over again. I remember racing a 66 GTO and a Buick Skylark that night.
