| no way, that hood is way too obnoxious, its gotta be at least 12" high. actually ive had an extra stock hood for awhile now that was a lil' rough but i picked up a super clean parts car a month ago or so which has a perfect hood a windshield, hardware, splash gaurds & mirrors that i needed. so you might see this thing with a metallic blue hood & mirrors for a little while/at least its a deep metallic blue... | |

| Awesome. I think a stock hood would look great on it. And you are right, that other hood WAS a bit obnoxious. LOL | |

| progress! not gonna be ready for this weekend but im happy nonetheless. exhaust is on! down to oil feeds & drains, alt. bracket, swap axles & spool, swap injectors, finish wiring, windshield, fluids & tune...
brad & corey figured out how to integrate the headlight motor controller into the painless harness tonight! that was a big hurdle that i did not expect to work. was actually funny when they had the controller alternating left & right headlights up & down. unfortunately i found out both sets of tail light modules i have are '86-88 not '89-'92, fuck!!! anyone out there know where a '89-92 supra parts car with tail lights still in might be?

Wow, not much left at all. Could you explain the advantages of going with the stand alone box? I imagine it makes tuning easier, but anything specific?

| i honetly dont think it will make a bit of difference for what i want to do this year (6-700whp). but next year it will really make sense when my goals are twice that with a forged/billet 427 stroker motor and both turbos compressor housings at least 20mm bigger in dia. | |

Keep us posted on the updates coming together nicely. went with the wilwood kit cuz thats what i see the most of on "serious" cars that use my dyno an havent heard a bad review from any of them. strange wa sthe runner up. i am also using wilwood masters, residuals and braided lines with the tilton pedal assy.

| ^good choice Nate! I hear awesome stories on fit and finish will willwood brakes, plus the company is good to work with if you have issues. Brakes I would guess is something not to cut corners with when building a car!

| my dad came down for the day an knocked this shit out throttle controls at the pedal. the big thing here was getting the masters set up w./the geometry an all... an the coil mounts he made are nice passenger side but theyre both equally delicious. he also made the top intercooler/hood latch bracket, did the turbo feed/oil pess. block an a few other things today... brad terminated the front lights so now its down to fuel pumps, fans, etc.... | |

| Wow, that does look good!! Could you explain the coils Nate? It would appear that each cylinder gets it's own coil? Is this correct? Do you mount them away from engine for reduced heat? It looks really nice, just wondering if it has mechanical purpose besides astetics

| yep, every cylinder on pretty much any ls motor had a cnp (coil near plug). well on this the turbo manifold sweep up an forward so the stock valve cover location was suspect for obvious reasons. so ye, we moved them to the firewall to get away from the heat. in moving them the stock valve cover bracket assy. is terrible so my ol man cam up w the aforementioned solution on the fly today... i think they look titties they will get the msd 8.8 superconductor treatment soon | |
