So some of you already have seen my car and know what is kinda about but here's what is done to it right now...

With that being said a chunk of you know i was having issues with my transmission up at automotion and after very short discussions most of us thought the slave cylinder on the hydralics for the clutch. Well a $120 part (that requires the transmission to be pulled) just turned into over $3000 dollars in parts in a hurry...

So for a couple hours i fucked around in the garage relearning some things, because it's alot like the 3rd gen camaro i had. Well first off here's the parts that showed up so far...

The Monster Stage 3 Kit...

















Tick Master Cylinder, Speed Bleeder, and ARP Hardware for the clutch...








Poly Trans Mount...




K&N Filter and the Stage 2 rebuild parts for the transmission...




New Tunnel Mount Torque Arm with Drive Shaft Loop, Mounting Hardware, and Angle Finder (sitting next to stock torque arm)















And here's how the car is sitting right now i just have to pull the other 4 bolts of the trans mount and from the bellhousing for it to drop out...














I WILL HAVE A TRANSMISSION JACK WHEN I PUT IT BACK IN!!!! I'm use to taking out auto transmissions you jus grab a 2X4 so you don't bend the transmission pan and it slides out great... Well the very smart people at GM decided to put a casting/cooling fin right in the center bottam of the T56 and it get's pretty iffy trying to balance it and pull the wire loom brackets while your trying to lower it. Otherwise it was simple and easy.

Here's what i had to assemble to reach the top two bolts the passenger one even after you lower the rear of the tranny you still can't touch or see it... (and HA they say you have to use a swivel I proved them wrong LOL)



So I kinda have to wait now, i'll probaly get the Master Cylinder in and take the old clutch off and put the new one on, but matt won't be able to get to the tranny til the end of next week at the earliest due to other projects, but i thank him for getting me in that soon for all that is on his plate right now...

U are right my friend on the rear end i have been eyeing a strange S60 rear end with an aluminum center section...

well you have to remember you dont have a ws6, so it will never be fast

Just take the interior out, that makes everything faster

It was funny three people have said that to me and every time i start the car up they shut the F*** up LOL. People always said that about my 91 camaro RS well it's just a RS it's not a Z28 alot of TPI cars got hurt by that slow RS car... I guess i jus don't understand people

I already took all the seats out for weight reduction and the steering wheel and gas pedal What more can i take out????

I hate those remarks considering the people saying them would lose to you anyways LOL. I do want a WS6 hood but i love when the car is sitting their and people don't even look at it like it might be fast until i start it up then they try to run over quick and find out about it...

Like you i was hoping to wait till this winter to build mine cuz i knew the stock 60k clutch wouldn't be able to hold the cam but... What are you plans for your car?

I have been throwing it up in the air if want to try and rebuild the tranny, but i'll propbaly have a friend of me, termi, 3v197, moparkid and others on here matt rebuild it... (I would love to give it a shot but it's quite a bit of money for the parts so i'll probaly jus have someone itrust who will do a great job on it)

Well for the tranny im going to buy a finish line built (out if IL) stage 3 tranny, a yank ss 3600 stall and a b&m tranny cooler. That's in the for sure plan for this winter, or late summer depending on how my tranny holds up other plans for this winter for sure is a under drive pulley a walbro (i believe my fuel pump is going out), and I'm going to have my exhaust welded up and a electric cutout installed.

Other than that I have plans for heads and cam. Originally I was going to do that this winter, but that's not looking as realistic as of late. i want to do it all at once. I have no preference on the heads currently. I was just going to by a Patriot stage 2 and be done with it, you cant beat the price and they come with roller rockers. but well see what deals i run into. when the heads are bought it will go to speed inc for one of their custom cams and a dynotune. new crank seal, melling hp oil pump and some comp pushrods will be done suring this time as well.

no plans for boose or spray so im sticking with the stock internals. but we all know those types of plans tend to change

I knew I saw your car driving down thompson one day! I caught a glimpse in side mirror as I drove by and havent seen it since.

boy that tranny work, that's some complicated business.

Im going to assume you will be installing valve springs as well. Maybe I missed it in your list of mods. If you guys run into any issues shoot me a message. Ive done so many cam/ valve spring swaps in my car that I have it down to a couple hour job total. I would also be a little worried about running a mail order tune with a cam that big.

What year T/A?

Again, let me know if you run into anything, I have been through every inch of my car and other very fast LSx cars so their isn't much I havent dealt with.

98 t/a. i got ford red top 30lb injectors, they run bout 36lbs in our cars

patriot includes their springs, but if im going with afr heads id do isky springs

Sounds good. The red tops are a good choice for a heads cam car. Now you just have to spray the thing, and then youll be movin.

U LK2LSE; I myself am in need of having my T56 gone through so if you guys have succes in building yours .... well you see where I am going with this.

Oh man! jackstand tranny pulls are the suck! Looking good though!

I don't want to sound like your mother, but you're not putting all this performance on a credit card are you? I guestimate you have about $3000 worth the stuff there... If you have the cash, thats the way to do it. If you have to charge it, I recommend waiting. The last thing you want to do is pay interest on all that shit and not get anything for it down the road.

Nope no credit card... That's why i wasn't going to do it but we get paid extra for dumping these drums at work (happens like 4 times a year and only me and 3 others out of over 20 guys will do them) and a bunch of them kept landing on my shift SO it was enough to say lets do it all up...
