new truck

so the old red crew cab dually was gettin pretty tired after many years of trusty trailer pullin so i started lookin for a duramax dually a couple weeks ago. this is what i ended up with.





its an '04 gmc 3500 sle crew cab lb7 duramax/allison. put my simulators on, came w the grille & super awesome redneck diamond plate/flamed/pre patina'd rally stripes on the hood & gate, the obvious cowl induction hood. which is steel/thank god. interior is nice, 6 disc bose in dash, power buckets/console, all the sle stuff, etc... 5th wheel hitch, reciever w controller, spray in bedliner, blah blah blah. got an average 18 mpg from d.c. to my shop, seems to do @ 15 w the trailer loaded.

plans are mcgagheys 2" spindles & 3" keys up front & shackles & hangers out back for 7" w a c notch. 19.5" 058 eagles or big hole alcoas w 245/70 tires and a programmer for now.

o ye, the tube steps gotta go so if anyone knows of somebody w a crew cab gm truck '99+ lmk. theyre in really nice shape & cheap!

Nice truck! That wasn't the one wwe used to tug the coronet down to Joliet with was it? i don't think so the hood is different, but figured i would ask. I really liked that truck!

diff one mike/that one is a 05 6.0/4l80 ex cab 3500. this one is a lil more serious about pullin stuff

You are going to want to go with EFIlive for the tune.

I dig it except for the hood stripes. Its gonna look swell lowered

ye, stripes gotta go way too redneck for me/that will happen when i get the crack in the drivers box side fixed & painted.
