I have the factory system with 6 speakers + sub, XM, single CD, navigation, aux, iPod. I also have the factory alarm. no idea if any of it is made by an outside company and I really don't care because it sounds pretty good as it is.

Im still using a soundstream reference 300 to power my 12" JL's in my beater. I have had that amp for over 15 years!!!!!! I wish they still made stuff.

Soundstream amps kick ass.

Soundstream is back btw.. the gear is a bit different internally (not as overbuilt) but appears to be of good quality and looks like the old ref amps.

They had a bit of an odd spell for a while after they sold the company. Their new guys are trying to turn things around with their new Reference line. From what I've read they're pretty decent. PPI and PG is suppose to have some nice new offerings too.

Also turns out that TC sounds made the old ones. Not a surprise, they made 90% of the good stuff it seems.

Used to have 2 12" l7s and kicker 2000 watt amp w/ a 5ft cu^ box I built.

Also had RE components, alpine xsomething headunit and bose for the rest.

Now I have nothing, Im done with the whole car audio scene. That was all in my MDX.

The stereo in the GTO blows the one in the Talon out of the water. I'd love to have the car back though. I miss it all of the time.
