| I like that they called it lt1 and added MDS. Most dodge v8s have had it for 3 or 4 years.
Boooo to direct Injection. Its great right up until you need more fuel, not to mention E85. Hopefully the stock fuel pump will be overenginered like a motherfucker.
More out of less is where things are going. I was expecting less displacement and twins like the eco boost. That seems to be catching on with big block fans surprisingly well.

| Glad to see GM keeping the 1950's technology alive and well with some 2010 technology to make it current. I was hoping for some thing with 4 valves per cylinder and 4 cams to run them and DI which it does have and top it off with twin turbos. Maybe they will come up with something smaller and more powerful for the ZO6 and ZR1 and a DCT to boot. | |

| The direct injection makes me nervous too. Everyone knew it was coming eventually though. I have a feeling that as long as it doesn't pose too much of a roadblock, this engine will be a beast. That will all depend on the heads though. I'll be at the Detroit auto show for the unveil and hopefully they will have a lot more info too. | |

Your right... 100% E85 DI car- http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=814439&highlight=flexfuel Big twins- ... i don't think di is bad... The worst fuel pump in the world and it can dish out massive fueling. The LT1 should be a beast, di is a good thing!

| Well you guys have to remember, Chevy doesn't car about tuners neither does any other MFG. If it makes it work better stock but makes it 1000% worse to tune, they don't care. I'm not saying I like it either but it is what it is. BTW The G8 has had DOD since 2009. Pushrods are old tech for sure but I guess untill they stop making the car fast while getting good fuel economy they will still be around. | |
