So a few of us were sitting around with our stomachs full of grilled meats, discussing cars and whores and other typical topics of discussion, when Matt's broken down STi came up. After talking about the problems, possible causes, and a few potential diagnosis, Tye suggested we go over and take a look and see what the real story was.

Well, the real story sounded something like this:

Yeah, the heads and cams are long gone after that happened. My wrx motor still had oil pressure but a spun bearing and damaged the heads. I can't imagine what no oil would do.

Matt, a rwd SRT-4 motor would be much more reliable. Someone is working on sticking one into a 240z on another site.

What is the car woth with out a motor? and what does a motor cost? and what does it go for with a good engine running and the whole deal.
