Tax returns...

How much is everybody getting? We ar getting back just over $8500. Unfortunately, I Only get a small amount to spend on the mustang.

A lot less than that. I do my best to zero out with nothing owed and no return every year but it's tricky.

Never owed once. We'll be getting back right around 4K. I have a laptop to buy, and some misc thing to get. I'll be dumping more in the car come march or so.

I never get enough back, but the last couple years have been better thanks to itemized deductions.

This year's return (if I don't have to pay in) will be one step closer to being completely debt free

I'm getting back enough to allow for some really shitty spending...

Peaches; How did you calculate basically breaking even? I get back quite a bit every year, and would love to have that over the span of the year instead with the rugrat coming along.

Well you're going to have to forecast all your potential deductions which is going to be tough for you this coming year. I just got my return back and had my tax person estimate my tax return for next year based on a certain income level that I expect and then I will adjust my with holdings a little bit (staying in the safe side) to try and get as close to zero as possible. Mine is easy because I don't own a house, contribute to a medical fund or have child care costs. Yours is going to be a lot harder to estimate.

Haha dude it's a lot to account for when you start claiming dependents, child care, medical funds, property tax interest, all kinds of new things for you to consider this year my friend!!!

I only made $1,700 on paper last year. So I caNt imagine that ill get much back. A friend of mine gets 10-20k back. I don't see how that's possible. Buy what ever lol

being a student is huge, as is owning a house, as mortgage interest is deductible. but the single white man without a mortgage or being a student gets the perverbial fuck you from the IRS.

Its not, but both of my cars run well so I get to enjoy them year round so I'm not complaining.

Getting around 6k...wife wants a new tv.The rest is car money,but i paid some loans off so.Got about 3500 left.Which will fund few things....

mine is paying off the large credit card bills that my shitty car costed me over the last year. but unfortunately it still wont be enough. lol
