| Quoted from The faggot boyscout site that's full of faggots Hey all,
It's been a long time, and for good reason. If you wondered why I seemed crazy, why I drove like an idiot, and why I claimed to know far more about cars than I really did, there was a reason. If you wondered why I was annoying, why you couldn't stand to be around me, and why I seemed to start trouble every where I went, there's a reason. It finally came to a head several months ago, after I dropped off the site, out of the car scene and off East Wash. If you want the gory details, you can PM me, but basically I had a breakdown of sorts and got diagnosed with a condition that explained it all. Since then, I've been on heavy medication and therapy for the condition and have since stabilized, and I'm a totally different person.
That's why I'm re-introducing myself. I'm sure there's people who still won't like me, or who will have an even worse opinion of me, but let's keep that quiet, OK? I'm sticking my neck out to try and rejoin a forum and community that I want to be a part of.
So hi, my name is Joshua, I drive a near-stock 2004 gray Corvette, I know far more about computers than cars, and I like going fast.
Oh, and I got rid of the dragon stickers and magic cock pony off my Vette...that phase is over too.http://www.madisonstreetcars.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5270

| Honestly, this might be unpopular to say, but I'll still say it. Good for him. Everyday, I see how mental illness affects people. The results have a devastating effect on all aspects of a persons life. Sure he is different and he annoyed the hell out of me, but if he is honest about what he says then it explains a lot.

| Huh. Never thought I'd see him around again.
Honestly, If he had a legit mental issue, and he's getting help, GOOD. I hope he gets better, and stops acting so erratic. IF this is just another attention-whore ploy, he can go get fucked.

| You know what? I think I remember something like that. Apparently, he and a Buddie were out on a Friday night not too long ago fucking around on campus.... and almost hitting a crowd of students.
From all appearances, he's being an attention-whore again. If he is serious though...... like I said, I wish him luck.

| He has always presented to me as someone who suffers from a Bipolar affective disorder. Its a tough illness to work with, often those who suffer from it don't get serious treatment until their illness causes them severe consequences such as legal involvement.
The other part is once its treated, treatment isn't always followed because of side effects and the reduction of mania which feels good.. The psychotropic often used to medicate is lithium. It has a very specific therapeutic level that must be reached to be effective. The issue is we all metabolize things differently, so proper titration takes time.
Also, it doesn't excuse his behavior, we all have to live with in the confines of this society, but it does give perspective on why he does what he does.

| So, what you're saying is, he is out of the midnight? I have to agree with Mikey. If dude is trying to change his life for the better and get the help he needs, that's good. If its an attention thing, I hope he doesn't have this URL And thank the God of your choice that he took those shitty Fast & Furious decals off the side of that car!!! |

just my two wooden nickels Mike I work with a guy who is Bi-Polar. About 12 years ago he had a breakdown and took a lot of time off of work. Since then he has struggled to get his meds in order. Once they got that figured out, he now has turned into a hypocondriac. He has approximately 15 doctor appt's per month (all of which are scheduled during work hours), and his level of performance has suffered greatly. He has a "Happy Light" on at his desk... Supposedly it is to imitate sunlight, I think it just makes the room brighter. A mental illness like this doesn't just affect the person battling it, it also effects the people around that person. |

Its a very good point. Family members, coworkers, and friends take the brunt of it as well. Really sad to see people become shells of themselves due to the illness.
