| Properly tuned, carburetors make more peak power than EFI in something like a Pro Stock (high rpm, high compression) engine. A carb’s pressure differential atomizes the gas a lot better than spraying fuel through an orifice. But EFI has a broader powerband and superior cylinder-to-cylinder fuel distribution. The 1,100- to 1,300-cfm dual carbs are good only over a narrow range, about 1,500 rpm at most. EFI performs well over 2,000 rpm or more. On average, if optimized, both systems perform about the same as far as how fast you get down the track. However, the EFI system is much easier to tune than a carburetor. The biggest reason they don't want to allow EFI is because it opens up a whole new world of possibility when it comes to cheating that they aren't prepared to moniter. Not because they would make a ton more hp, because they simply would not. Also, what I think you are failing to see here is that this thing is not built with a whole list of crazy, exotic custom made parts like nascar. It's a factory block with factory heads. Again, ford nor dodge has done this. I'm going to go talk to a wall now because at least it will listen. | |

You must not have read the build on the motor as it has a LSX block and C5R heads sheet metal intake dual throttle bodys, billet crank, aluminum rods and custom pistons solid roller shaft rockers, 15.5 to 1 compression ect. So what are the factory parts on it??? I didnt see any part on that list that comes in a production car . Hot street motors have the same list of high end parts on them same as s SB2. NASCAR motors have factory approved parts but they have ton's of R&D done to them to make the most power with what they are given. So would a sbf with a boss block and yates heads on it be a factory motor because FRPP sell them?? Yes you are right about the small gain in power from an EFI set up over a carb but like you said to easy to cheat with it and make more power. My nose is getting sore from talking to the wall also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

- 500 ci pro stock motor
that stuff is one off custom stuff. and i believe bryan wasnt saying "stock" stuff as in factory unmodified GM stuff. but like ported stock heads, etc... take for instance a Sonnys motor. 932 cubes and 2200hp NA, but its all custom stuff, its LOOSELY based of a chevy engine but LOOSELY is the key word. it doesnt use any chevy or ford parts. BTW don, did brad say he never raced 1FastSS's trailblazer? just curious. and what were the engine specs on your 725whp all motor fox? sounds bad ass for sure.

| Actually I would be interested in seeing what fuel they used on the motor. 15.5:1 Compression caught my attention. I know the engine is put together like an Armani suit, so quench is outstanding and heads flow well and are aluminum, so that reduces some of the threat of pinging, but still 15:1 is pretty stout. I know a lot of the old flip floppers in the 60's used Nitromethane and Hydrazine in combo with sunoco 280 to run engines at that high of compression without predetenation. When doing so it could really boost hp. Perhaps I'm searching, but I thought it was kind of odd they left out what fuelthe motor used.

| oh its not pump gas mikeyt. most likely C16, anymotor like that is running race gas. the most u could make on pump gas on a motor that size would be around 800-850 flywheelhp is my guess. | |

y doesnt everyone use prostock heads if they are so easy to attain? Because they are not legal in most classes and they need some work, and you cant figure out how to make them work off the internet. Most teams keep do all there work in house or they lease motors. FYI 2 of my friends build pro stock motors so I am not talking out my azz when I talk about them.

| Guy 1: Girls watch chick flicks for the same reason guys watch porn, it's to see some shit that would never happen in real life. But in the end guys get orgasms out of watching porn and girls just waste $11.00 to leave a movie theater feeling unloved and left with a slight hope some super sexy man would build them a log cabin with their bare hands or some shit. So in conclusion, girls watch those movies because they are dumb.
Guy 2: all girls need to realize is that if they act the way our favorite pornstars do all the time, we might build them those fucking log cabins.
If one night, I came home and my girlfriend was oiling her titties and fingering one of her friends who is covered in gravy with a dildo in her butt and mouth while they both shake their ass cheeks like the black girls do and then one licks my butthole and shaft at the same time while I nut in the others hair then later we all fuck some more while they howl like wolves and smack the shit out of each other... then I would start on a log cabin that both of them could live in at 7am the next morning.

and c16 is for lawnmowers and weed trimmers.
real fuel are e85, Q16, VP import and c25 but people that search google for fast 30 to 100mph ricers wouldnt understand.
