so i figured I might as well start a "build thread." My hope is not as many people will ask me when my car will be done

I dropped my heads off today at Full Boar in Dodgeville. I should get them back thursday and work on the car on and off and it should be ready early next week. And the heads were just cleaned up. Just the casting flash was removed if anyone thinks I have "ported heads" now, not really. Ill be happy to make 340whp.

I heard your porting your heads. It that true?

no he didn't do much porting. he made the divider in the intake port more of a sharp edge and cleaned up the casting flash. He didn't feel comfortable hogging them out without a flow bench. It will be better than stock but not by much, feel free to ask him about it.

So, is it being fixed in a way so it won't happen again? I didn't really pay too much attention as to what and how it broke, but was just wondering if it won't be an issue anymore.

well, at least there is one legitimate post. thats the plan. i believe it was the way i installed the springs and won't do that again so we should be all good.
