Motortrend also reviewed the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe with the 5 speed transmission and AGAIN over 100K on the clock as a test car and it still managed to pull almost a 15 flat 1/4 mile. The no-option thunderbird off of the factory floor I'm talking about (and is well documented) put down a sub 15 second quarter mile on an unprepped track with regular old Goodyear Gatorbacks. I never said that they were a low 13 second car, nor did I claim that they were faster than your precious Buzzin half dozen. The fact is that there were a lot of cars right around the performance of your precious Buick, and the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was definitely one of them. Plus IMHO, it looked better overall. But thats besides the point. All of these cars were not only MUCH better than a fiero, but they were also MUCH faster.

nothing is comparable to a turbo regal, they make too much torque. the only thing the fiero is comparable to with the turbo regal is build quality.

that being said, fiero's were huge piles of shit that did run 16's and its a good thing most of them are gone. there were death traps that started on fire and did nothing well.

and not sure what year the vr4 or the 300zx came out but im pretty sure those cars were borderline 13's stock. and a fox body cobra would take a helluva driver to get into the 13's.

It sold for well above a million dollars. Now Bill owns not one ,but 12 more cars just like this and in as just as a nice condition.

Yet this isn't about a car, but rather the way Bill treated people. I look up to Bill more then any person in this hobby. Bill was the type of car guy who treated everyone's car like it was gold. It didn't matter if it was a street rat or a numbers matching survivor. He wanted to know about it, more importantly he wanted to know why you liked it. He treated everyone's stuff like it was important.

Its funny class isn't about how well you treat those who can improve your life, but rather how well you treat those who can do nothing to benefit you all.
