fuel rails showed up monday/finally put /em on today!

got a killer hookup on ls1tech.com last week on some fuel rails, paid w./the ol' card and dude shipped 'em the same day. well they showed up two days later an sat on my toolbox for me to admire for a few days but today i just had to put them on. unbelievable deal tho, this guy took the time to mirror polish them and included three -8 fittings and a -8 coupler all in black for $130 shipped!!! heres a pic of 'em-



well after putting them on i just couldnt look at them and not grab a notepad to figure out what i needed to finish the fuel system. well about a 1/2 hour later and a call to summt with the ol' visa i spent @ $400.00 on every single fitting, coupler, tube nut & sleeve, line, and a -10 to -8 v block i think i might need to start this pig (a few things were on back order but they said they will ship on the 6th). had 'em throw in an elec fan and all the feed and return lines & fittings for the turbo oiling system for good measure. hp tuners guy was here today to figure out the maf to speed density requirements and injectors too, paid him the $100 for the tuning credit and an extra $100 for the speed density change credit.

so now i have to finish the turbo system while i wait for all the fuel parts, pull wiring, an stock up on lienenkugels honey weiss so joe can finish the interior up. im lookin forward to kickin' some dicks in someday soon ; ) . just kidding of course it'll just be a street car after all.

if you are thinkin of boost anytime in your future i have a set of lt1 stainless turbo headers here for your car/f body, with flanges for t3 or t4 i bought years ago. i doubt i will ever use them and ill come of 'em cheap, or maybe you know somebody that might need 'em in the f body world.

Street car my ass. Those rear tires are each wider than two of mine stacked together!

Well, your guy with the HP tuners is screwing you. I have HP tuners and it doesn't cost anything to change to speed density.

The first set I built for the LS engine was 1 3/4" stainless with Burns merge collectors. I had $1900 plus my time into them just to find out that after buying aftermarket heads they where too small. So when I built the new headers I went with Stainless works and they are definitely not as nice but I only had $1150 into these.

Here are pics of the 1 3/4" headers. I will sell them cheap seeing I have no use for them. The collectors alone were $375 each.

The quality of the Burns collectors are far superior over the SW.

thats why i went with the flowtech kit 1fastduece. i have plans for a much more serious lsx and much bigger turbos as soon as the chassis is sorted. since i have never had a fast car (quicker than 12.0 and bikes dont count) i couldnt see goin big time budget right away plus this car is something i only work on in my spare time hence the 4+ year build.

i do have questions for ya though about fuel system, hp tuners, chassis setup, etc...

late 80's Supra.....

'92 supra turbo to be exact. body code ma70 (hence my screen name). i guess this aint much of build thread w/o some history. i was given one of these things by a nieghbor in the shops im in 5-6 years ago. it was a targa/auto car w./no title. made some motor & tranny mounts an put a gen1 small block/th350 in it. soon thereafter a friend found the current car abandoned in a warehouse in new orleans on ebay. put in a bid of $600 and i was on my way to the big easy. i get there and it turns out it was a project for some kid at uti or wyotech or somethihng. the cage was garbage an all the 2X4 was crooked as fuck. the body was very clean and it did come with a title an a decently narrowed 9" housing, not much else.

drove straight through/no sleep madison to new orleans an back. so when i got home i slept for a day then asessed my poor decision making skills and started calling moser, wilwood, summit, jegs, etc. this thing has been slow going from the start since its been a learning experience the whole way but its alot of fun and should be a good time once on the street. heres some more pics to get an idea what ive been doin, in no order of course.

fyi, since the change to ls power the ridiculous/not street legal hood has been hung on the wall in the shop and a stock hood has been aquired...

oil pan mods a couple nights ago, this pan has got to be the most porous aluminum pan i have ever worked with & dirty, omg! those that are familiar with tig'ing a used oil pan know what im talking about, this fucker takes the cake tho...









did the pickup tube lsat night, didnt take any pics cuz it was two cuts, a little heat in two places & tig it back together. went to thorstad this a.m. an grabbed a new pan gasket so will be back on tonight/maybe back in the car...

on to the rearend fill and drains tomorrow or?

still need a th350 w./decent build or parts to do the one i have if anyone has anything.

so tonight i redid the motor mounts, again... some wonder why it takes so long to do this car. it aint right till its right, i just wasnt confident in the old design holding 1,200whp so paul water jetted these buggers out & i bent em 45deg in the big brake. lmk what ya think, if ya think they need to be stronger or if these'll work.

Looking good, but if you plan a making 1200whp your going to need a T400 or a glide as a t350 no matter how you build it will hold the much power.

just a note transmissions reduce motor HP to the rear wheels they do not mutiply by 200%. (1200rwhp) really.
