I've run a c5 with header cams and exhaust . I know their is a huge difference (c6 is nasty).

I don't care if I get beat, I would be impressed if anyone actually shows up.. There is always a faster car, or a guy wtih more money to make his car faster than yours. The point of this thread was to give respect to Fords acheivments. Remember they have now passed toyota for 1# selling car.

nope im waiting n my fuel level sending unit finish the lines and i have the whole dash steering colum EVERYTHING out of the car.... wife and kid take up time so it should be done sooner then that but i can't say for sure.

Your uncle's Corvette has a tune, exhaust, and a CAI from what I know. He's also got long blonde hair that I'm sure adds 30hp to his car...

I grew up on Corvette cars, my uncle has had more than a dozen of these since I was a kid. I have respect for thier potential on the streets, but you need to realize their are many different ways to make big power. Gm has made its share of shit (and is now bankrupt) the Corvette was their best car by a long shot. I have a lot of respect for the z06 and have driven a couple of them. They are easy to mod, easy to drive ,easy to hook... This is why I love to race them, I know that I'm racing the car more than the driver.

The Cobra on the other hand is much cheaper to make big power from, and more of a muscle car,than supercar. It's the underdog, meant to be pitted against the Camaro (which left the market @ the time).. This is what gives me the satisfaction to run with the big dogs, for a car that was $20,000 less from the factory, and still have a back seat and top that goes down.
